Senior .Net Application Systems Analyst Location: Plano TX Duration: 5 Months Contract (Potential to go PERM with Client) 100% Work from Office

Pay rate $64.90


As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and implementing major information systems. You will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Elicitation & Analysis : Collaborating extensively with business stakeholders to thoroughly understand their needs, processes, and challenges. You will then translate these into clear, comprehensive technical specifications for application and system changes.
  • System Design : Designing user interfaces, including data entry and query screen layouts, report layouts, and file structures, utilizing appropriate hardware, software, and system utility tools. This includes significant design experience in Relational Databases, Online Systems, and Web-Based Applications.
  • Documentation : Writing and revising program and system specifications, creating detailed directions for development and modifications of program code. You will also develop comprehensive business and technical documentation, including functional specifications, system design documents, and test plans.
  • Project Management & Coordination : Planning, monitoring, and controlling projects to effectively utilize time and programming resources. This includes leading and facilitating project-related activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
  • Technical Problem Solving : Performing a variety of complex technical tasks, such as designing, documenting, and programming logic, and troubleshooting system issues.
  • Data Analysis & SQL: Creating and executing complex SQL queries for data analysis, mapping, and reporting to support business decisions and project insights.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance : Collaborating with QA teams to develop and execute test plans, ensuring systems meet functional and performance requirements and adhere to quality standards.
  • Collaboration & Communication : Acting as a subject matter expert, fostering strong relationships and effective communication with various internal business units, technical teams, and external vendors.
  • Continuous Improvement : Researching and evaluating new technologies and best practices, identifying opportunities for automation and process optimization to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Adherence to Culture & Values : Demonstrating behaviors aligned with client's desired organizational culture and values.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience as a Systems Analyst or Business Systems Analyst, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex systems solutions.
  • Demonstrated strong business knowledge, particularly within the Financial Services industry. Mortgage industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to plan, monitor, and control projects, managing timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is highly valued.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • While not a primary development role, a foundational understanding of programming concepts and experience with general coding (e.g., scripting, understanding code logic for reverse engineering) is a significant plus. Experience with API specifications (REST, JSON) is also beneficial.
  • Must be highly proficient in writing and executing complex SQL queries for data analysis, data mapping, and reporting. Strong understanding of relational database schemas and SQL management tools is essential.
  • Significant design experience in Relational Databases, Online Systems, and Web-Based Applications.
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and their G Suite (Google Workspace) equivalents.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools for writing requirements, use cases, test cases, and design documentation. AI knowledge and usage desired
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL Server, including scripting and complex query writing.
  • Solid experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Proven ability to analyze data, design relational databases, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with business and technical teams
  • Project management skills.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools for documentation and process improvement is a plus.
  • Foundational programming knowledge and scripting experience are beneficial.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with the .NET framework.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases.
  • Exposure to Snowflake and Tableau for data warehousing and reporting.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services
