Job Description:
1. Over 15 years of experience in supporting AS/400 applications
2. Must have Manufacturing domain experience with experience on MAPICS will be an add on.
3. Proficient in programming using DDS, CL, RPG, and RPGLE
4. Excellent communication skills for interacting with end users and documenting custom programs and processes
5. Strong expertise in supporting AS/400 business applications across various domains
a. Manufacturing operations
b. Engineering (items, BOMs, routings, etc.)
c. Inventory, scheduling, order release, job reporting, quality inspection, costing, maintenance, data collection, etc.
d. Accounting, order entry, shipping, purchasing, HR, etc.
6. Additional experience in system administration is a plus
7. Exposure to performing full system saves, applying PTFs, OS upgrades, or hardware/network changes (optional)
8. Dynamic problem-solving skills for efficiently resolving support tickets
