Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Application Developer with strong experience in .NET, Oracle PL/SQL, and enterprise web-based application development to support and enhance internal systems at NYSIF, including the Billing and Collection System, Integrated New Business (iNB) system, and Integrated Policy Administration and Maintenance (iPAM) system.
This role involves hands-on development, system enhancements, production support, and active participation in full SDLC processes in compliance with NYSIF s IT governance, architecture standards, and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain in-house enterprise applications for billing, quoting, and policy administration.
Create, modify, test, and implement code using Oracle PL/SQL (stored procedures, triggers, packages) and .NET.
Design and implement batch processes involving data integrations and scheduled jobs.
Work across modules such as QuoteSys, Declaration, Entity, Broker, Reinstatement, etc.
Support projects such as PayGo (Pay-as-You-Go) and IVANS Exchange with targeted enhancements and production fixes.
Participate in requirement analysis, architecture design, and development of scalable technology solutions.
Collaborate with other developers and communicate technical specifications effectively.
Follow established SDLC, project management, and enterprise architecture standards.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in developing applications with .NET (C#/VB.NET) and Oracle PL/SQL.
Hands-on experience in designing and building batch processes and stored procedures.
Experience with modern web development frameworks and enterprise architecture best practices.
Strong background in insurance, financial, or policy management systems.
Familiarity with systems integration (e.g., IVANS, PayGo) and policy life cycle processes.
Knowledge of software development methodologies and IT governance frameworks.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in New York State or public sector application development environments.
Prior work on NYSIF or similar insurance industry systems.
Familiarity with Section 93 Search, Straight-Through Processing, or Autoquote modules.
