Job Description We are working with a company located in Massachusetts that is responsible for protecting the digital assets from cyber threats. They are committed to making sure that everyone is qualified, suitable and being provided with all the correct information. Staying up-to-date with the latest cyber security threats, trends, and providing recommendations for improving financial businesses security posture. This company is looking for a Senior Application Security Engineer to bring in ideas and passion.
In this position you will work with the security operations and cyber defense teams to help manage their cyber defense tools. Currently looking for someone with EDR, vulnerability scanning and firewall experience. You will work on building strong device security and vulnerability management programs. Ability to us Splunk and Elastic in their environments. This is a fully remote position. Required Skills & Experience

- Conduct regular assessments of the IT infrastructure and applications to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to protect digital assets and data
- Monitor network traffic and system logs for signs of suspicious activity or attacks.
- Investigate security incidents and breaches and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to mitigate the impact and prevent future occurrences
- Collaborate with other IT professionals, researchers, and academic departments to promote cyber security awareness and best practices
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security threats, trends, and technologies, and provide recommendations for improving the security posture
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Security, or Computer Science
- Be able to communicate security information to the team
- 4 plus years of experience
