Responsibilities:

Independent Project Delivery:




  • Deliver multiple common tasks within Business Intelligence projects independently and ensure they are of high quality and completed on time.

Consultation and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Translate high-level strategic questions into concrete business requirements.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Serve as a link between data engineering and internal stakeholders to ensure data accessibility for reporting needs.

  • Curate specific data to influence strategic decision-making.

Data Transformation:




  • Provide clean data sets to end users through data transformation.

KPI Definition and Visualization:




  • Define, instrument, and maintain department and Institute-level KPIs.

  • Build thoughtful data visualizations using Tableau to accelerate information-to-action at scale.

Analytics Solutions Development:




  • Build, deliver, maintain, and improve analytics solutions iteratively with stakeholder feedback.

  • Manage a backlog of technical issues and communicate them to internal stakeholders.

Collaboration:




  • Collaborate with parallel team members at Boston Children's Hospital to share data, align on reporting strategies, and generate insights.

Learning and Adaptability:




  • Learn about BCH data structures, data warehouse, and reporting tools.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience:




  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields (statistics, information technology, mathematics, public health), Master's preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience in Analytics or Business Intelligence, with at least 1 year in healthcare or life sciences.

  • Additional experience supporting healthcare or life sciences initiatives or groups is desirable.

Technical Skills:




  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data analysis.

  • Hands-on experience in building data visualizations, preferably using Tableau.

  • Ability to learn technologies quickly through instruction and self-training.

Additional Skills:




  • Working knowledge of Epic clinical and scheduling systems is a plus.

  • Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
