Position: Senior BizOps Engineer
Duration: 24 Months (potential for extension)

Overview:
The Mastercard BizOps team is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to help solve problems, build pipelines, and drive automation best practices. BizOps leads the DevOps transformation at Mastercard by advocating for automation, standards, and operational excellence across development, quality, release, and product teams.
Mission:
BizOps engineers partner with developers to ensure production readiness by focusing on system availability, capacity, performance, monitoring, deployment automation, and compliance. The team drives proactive operations, risk management, and improved customer experience through strong DevOps practices.
Responsibilities:
Improve lifecycle of services from design to refinement.
Analyze ITSM activities and provide feedback on gaps.
Conduct system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
Monitor availability, latency, and system health with automated alerts.
Automate workflows to improve reliability and velocity.
Lead incident response and conduct postmortems.
Collaborate with global teams across geographies.
Mentor junior engineers.
Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong problem-solving, ownership, and communication skills.
Coding/scripting experience (Python, Go, Bash).
CI/CD pipeline experience (Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Chef).
Experience designing efficient CI/CD workflows.
Knowledge of large-scale distributed systems.
Required: Bash and Python scripting expertise.

Work Hours: 8 5 pm CST, BizOps platform maintenance, ITSM-CRQS, on-call support
Overtime: Not budgeted

Interview Process: Teams video, 1 2 technical rounds (after 11 am CST weekdays)
