Job Details

Business Analyst



We are looking for someone who understands and has experience with the

software development lifecycle as they will be managing work requests to

support operational support needs for web applications and gather

requirements for project initiatives. This role is the liaison between

the technical team and the business client. This will be about 90% of

the time for this resource. This is a senior position so the selected

candidate will possess leadership skills including but not limited to

the ability to delegate tasks to the team, effective communication and

being able to lead a team of business analysts and be comfortable

leading requirement meetings with business and other technical

resources.



Tasks:



- Facilitates meetings with the technical team and business client.



- Gathers requirements and project specifications by leading

requirement sessions independently



- Maintain backlog of work items in Azure DevOps



- Must operate in a hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) environment and actively

manage requirements, change requests and testing needs.



- Manage project tasks, timelines, and communication between business

product owner and development team associated with the Change

Management lifecycle



- Track sprints and ticket progress in Azure DevOps



- Ensures the team is adhering to the department change management

policies



- Acts as a liaison with State of Michigan auditors



- Maintains documentation on the project SharePoint Site.



- Must be self-starter, detail oriented and a critical thinker



- Provide management with information such as project status reports

and resource demand projections.



- Work with team, management, and business partners to continuously

improve the process.



Interview will be conducted via Microsoft Teams, 2^(nd) interviews will

be held in person.





Work location is hybrid, 2 days in office is required (Tuesday &

Wednesday preferred) and 3 days working from home. (Candidate can be

full time in office, if desired.)



Contract Length: 12 months.



Contract may be extended as desired.

Exposure to Complex IT web Applications, within the past 5 years Required 5 Years

Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements Required 5 Years

Experience in a role, as a business analyst, supporting a software development project, in the past 5 years Required 5 Years

Ability to lead meetings, conduct training & information sessions, communicate at a level appropriate to the audience, make oral and written reports and presentations Required 5 Years

Proficiency with MS Office Required 3 Years

Experience working as a liaison between the development team and project manager or business client in a software development project Required 2 Years

Experience with Azure DevOps; including creating User Stories and queries Required 1 Year

Knowledge and understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle Highly Desired 2 Years

Experience with Federal, State or local grant management systems Highly Desired 1 Year

Experience developing wireframes, mockups, & prototypes in Figma or comparable design software Highly Desired 1 Year

Project management skills and knowledge in project management and related methodologies Highly Desired 6 Months

Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Highly Desired 6 Months

Experience with Power Platform services including Power BI and Power Automate Highly Desired 6 Months
