Position: Senior Business Systems Analyst [ SaaS implementation]

Job Summary:
Seeking a Senior BSA to support a SaaS implementation partner for a new grant management system. This role focuses on gathering business requirements, creating detailed user stories, supporting SaaS product implementation, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality functional specifications. Experience with SmartSimple or similar SaaS grant systems is highly preferred.

This role focuses on gathering business requirements, creating detailed user stories, supporting SaaS product implementation, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality functional specifications. Experience with SmartSimple or similar SaaS grant systems is highly preferred.
Must-Have:
- Experience supporting a SaaS implementation partner (not SAS).
- Strong background in requirements gathering, user stories, and functional specs.
- Experience with COTS SaaS solutions (SmartSimple or similar is a plus).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with business, IT, and leadership.
- Experience with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall/
Scrum). - Ability to write SQL queries for data analysis.
- Experience with process improvements, data mapping, and documentation tools (Visio, Excel, UI design tools).
Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into clear user stories.
- Support SaaS implementation partner with detailed specs and readiness criteria.
- Drive process improvements and assist with system design, mockups, and data mapping.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT to ensure alignment.
- Perform data analysis, write queries, and support reporting needs.
- Assist in software releases, upgrades, and troubleshooting as needed.
