The Role

We are looking for a Senior Citrix Systems Engineer to join our Global Information Security Team. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure Citrix environments that support our global trading infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering and leadership role that bridges deep technical expertise with strategic planning and security excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Citrix and security engineers to deliver reliable and secure virtual desktop environments.

  • Design, build, and maintain Citrix infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and InfoSec teams to integrate Citrix solutions into broader cloud and on-prem security architecture.

  • Support privilege access management (PAM) and identity solutions within Citrix and system environments.

  • Harden systems and enforce best practices for OS-level and application-level security.

  • Evaluate and optimize existing tools and processes to enhance efficiency and resilience.

  • Maintain clear documentation and reporting of system architecture, incidents, and changes.

  • Participate in audits, security reviews, and compliance initiatives as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Citrix engineering (XenApp, XenDesktop, Citrix Cloud, NetScaler).

  • 3+ years in a leadership or mentoring role within a systems or security engineering team.

  • Strong knowledge of virtualization, VDI, and application delivery technologies.

  • Experience with operating system hardening (Windows & Linux) and infrastructure-level security.

  • Familiarity with privilege and identity access management solutions.

  • Understanding of network protocols, VPNs, firewalls, and security best practices.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Citrix-specific certifications.

  • Experience with DevSecOps and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python preferred).

  • Prior experience in the financial services or trading industry is a plus.
