Senior Cloud Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer in Westlake, TX.

Responsibilities:
* Senior Cloud Engineer will build, deploy, and support the observability platform focused on metrics and traces
* Enhance strategic platform capabilities including security, resiliency, and new features
* Collaborate within a diverse, innovative, and self-motivated engineering team
* Contribute to open-source projects and share expertise with the broader engineering community
* As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will engage in continuous learning, supported by a dedicated learning day each week
* Operate within the Foundation & Pipelines squad under the Core & Common initiative

REQUIREMENTS:
* Over 5 years of hands-on experience deploying and supporting highly distributed, multi-tiered systems at scale
* Experienced in troubleshooting and maintaining Linux-based systems
* Experienced in CI/CD pipelines using ALM tools like Jenkins
* Hands-on experience deploying applications on cloud platforms such as AWS (EC2, EKS) or equivalents like Google Cloud Platform and Azure
* Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, load balancers, and routing
* Deep expertise in Infrastructure such as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation (CFT), and AWS CDK
* Proficient in two or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go
* Proficient with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
* Skilled in designing and building scalable, resilient cloud-native applications
* Skilled in building serverless solutions using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and related services
* Committed to delivering software using engineering best practices and principles
* Passionate about emerging technologies and staying current with cloud trends

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
