Title: Senior Data Engineer
Client: Rose International
Location: Arlington, VA, (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months
Work Hours: 40 hrs/week
Job Description
As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will:
- Lead the scoping, design, and implementation of complex features.
- Build and maintain analytics/data models to enable scalable, performant products.
- Ensure high-quality code through best practices, reviews, and testing.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive process improvements.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and UX Designers to align technical solutions with user needs.
- Partner across teams to deliver innovative data-driven solutions.
Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years full-stack engineering in an agile production environment.
- Strong proficiency in Python or Scala, Spark, Hadoop platforms (Hive, Impala, Airflow, NiFi, Sqoop), and SQL.
- Experience building/deploying data-driven applications, data pipelines, and machine learning systems at scale.
- Proficiency with Java/Spring Boot, .NET/C#, React, Redux, Typescript, and SQL Server.
- Experience leading large-scale technical efforts across multiple teams.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with predictive analytics, machine learning, and advanced statistics.
- Strong customer-centric development mindset.
- Proven ability to mentor junior teammates.
