Role Summary

The Senior Analyst - Google Cloud Platform Tools & Analytics Enablement plays a critical role in advancing KeyBank's transformation into an insights-driven enterprise. As part of the Analytics Enablement team, this role bridges the gap between infrastructure, analytics, and business teams by enabling the use of Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and modern analytics tools. The ideal candidate is a technically fluent, strategic thinker who thrives in cross-functional environments and is passionate about empowering data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a technical liaison between infrastructure teams and analytics users, ensuring seamless onboarding and support for Google Cloud Platform tools.
  • Design and implement scalable Google Cloud Platform-based infrastructure to support analytics, modeling, and machine learning workflows.
  • Provide training, documentation, and hands-on support for open-source and Google Cloud Platform tools.
  • Lead or co-lead change management initiatives related to analytics platforms and tools.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to align analytics capabilities with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate and integrate innovative technologies to enhance enterprise analytics.
  • Support the Analytics Committee by assessing the impact of platform changes and ensuring continuity in analytics operations.
  • Lead the Advanced Analytics user group and curate training roadmaps to upskill teams.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Decision Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years in advanced analytics, data science, or cloud infrastructure roles.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
  • Minimum of 3+ years designing solutions for analytics or modeling teams.

Technical Skills
  • Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Cloud Storage, BigLake.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data science libraries.
  • Familiarity with data formats (Parquet, JSON, Avro) and databases (DB2, Oracle, Teradata, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with Spark, MLlib, XGBoost, LightGBM, and PySpark.
  • Understanding of modern data architecture, machine learning, and streaming analytics.
  • Exposure to SAS, Linux/Unix environments, and web technologies.

Soft Skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills across technical and business audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage change.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum and traditional project management.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and customer-focused.
  • Ability to identify risks, escalate appropriately, and drive resolution.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect certification.
  • Background in financial services or banking.

  • Key has implemented a role-based Mobile by Design approach to our employee workspaces, dedicating space to those whose roles require specific workspaces, while providing flexible options for roles which are less dependent on assigned workspaces and can be performed effectively in a mobile environment. As a result, this role may be mobile or home based, which means you may work either at a home office or in a Key facility to perform your job duties. If located near a KeyBank location, the position in the future may work partially from a Key facility. If not located near a Key facility, team will consider remote workers.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance
