Your role

We are looking for a DevOps/Cloud Site Reliability Engineer to join our team and help us to:
deploy, monitor, and support applications in modern cloud oriented environments
promote overall stability of the systems through monitoring, change control management, and im-plementation of best practices in the observability space
support Gitlab Pipelines and Terraform to manage IaC across several MS Azure resources/services
research opportunities for automation, troubleshooting, and issues as reported by users
implement migrations, upgrades, and patches in all environments
interact efficiently with the business and development teams at all levels
establish the root causes of application errors and escalating serious concerns
collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems (Database, UNIX, Cloud, etc.)
provide occasional on-call or weekend support for critical activities during non-production hours
Your team
You will be working in the Site Reliability Engineering team based in one of our offices worldwide. Together we drive consistency across business divisions and optimize operations by providing timely, robust, cost-effective solutions and products to our clients. Your expertise
a bachelor's degree and ideally 7+ years of work experience in an Information Technology field
deep understanding of SRE Concepts and good knowledge of Azure Cloud
hands on exposure to Kubernetes and Docker containers
experience in DevOps Tools (GITLAB, Azure DevOps, Nexus) with all phases of modern DevOps pipelines
working knowledge of key Azure technologies like Virtual Machines, Key Vaults, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, and Hub Networks
demonstrable experience in delivering a quality operational service to customers
strong knowledge in administering and restoring application services within a complex and secured banking environment
practical experience in defining and building automation routines to improve the stability and quality of the service in production
experience with Azure repos, branching, code review and code analysis tools
excellent knowledge in programming languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell
strong understanding of database platforms such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Azure SQL
strong understanding of ITIL lifecycle and processes
Backstage Open Platform experience is a plus
a committed and visionary team player with a logical mind-set (you can solve problems like nobody's business)
well-organized with an innate sense of how to prioritize across a complex environment
a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified Kubernetes App Developer (CKAD)
