Our Defender product group is seeking a talented and innovative Senior DevOps Engineer. This product group is building the next generation of financial crimes detection and prevention solutions, utilizing a cloud-based platform and machine learning to provide cutting-edge solutions to keep financial institutions safe. Key responsibilities include release automation, infrastructure deployment automation, and writing scripts to support platform operations. A strong understanding of Azure or Google Cloud Platform, and how to automate changes within these environments, is essential. This position will work on a hybrid basis out of one of the following locations: Allen, TX; Birmingham, AL; Cedar Falls, IA; Charlotte, NC; Lenexa, KS; Lombard, IL; Louisville, KY; San Diego, CA; Springfield/Monett, MO. You would be required to come to the office approximately once a quarter for meetings and can work from home the remainder of the time; however, you must live within 150 miles of one of these locations. Travel may be up to 5% for occasional business meetings or trainings. Salary range for this position is $90-145k, depending on candidate experience and geographic location.
What you'll be responsible for:
Actively participates in all phases of the software development life cycle, including research, prototyping, detailed design, development, technical documentation, and defect fixing.
Contributes to the technical design and implementation of system deployment automation and configuration management tools.
Develops software in appropriate scripting languages using agile design-build-test methodologies.
Configures and maintains container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications effectively.
Constructs, improves, and maintains the automated deployment pipelines.
Collaborates closely with development, operations, and security teams to foster a culture of collaboration, communication, and knowledge sharing, driving continuous improvement across the organization.
Adheres to organizational standards, policies, and procedures related to software development, security, and compliance.
May perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need to have:
6 years of experience in software development or infrastructure as code.
2 years experience with Terraform in Google Cloud Platform or Azure environments.
Experience with any or all of the following: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Octopus Deploy.
Experience with containerization using Kubernetes..
What would be nice for you to have:
Experience with observability and monitoring.
Experience in a multicloud environment.
Regression testing experience.
Datadog experience.
Background in high-compliance industries such as FinTech or financial institutions.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
