Senior DevOps Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer in Plano, TX.

Overview:
We are seeking DevOps Engineers to support a large-scale CI/CD pipeline migration to GitHub Actions. This is a high-impact opportunity to work on a strategic consolidation initiative, modernizing DevOps practices and tooling across thousands of applications.

Key Responsibilities:
* Senior DevOps Engineer will design, build, and migrate CI/CD pipelines from legacy tooling (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, shell scripts) to GitHub Actions
* Standardize and templatize workflows to improve maintainability and onboarding
* Support pipeline orchestration across a wide range of applications and tech stacks
* As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will integrate CI/CD processes with containerization and orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes
* Ensure automation practices align with compliance and audit requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps
* Experience with source control systems including GitHub and SVN
* Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Bash, Python)
* Familiarity with containerized environments and orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
* Understanding of build and package tools such as Maven, Gradle, NPM, and Yarn
* Proven ability to support migrations across diverse codebases and legacy workflows

Nice to Have:
* Experience working in highly regulated environments (e.g., SOX, audit trail automation)
* Familiarity with artifact management tools such as JFrog Artifactory
* Exposure to Copilot

Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Adaptable and comfortable navigating both modern and legacy environments
* Capable of working independently while aligning with centralized DevOps goals
* Pragmatic in balancing modernization with lift-and-shift realities
* Able to work cross-functionally with multiple different teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
