Senior Devops Engineer - Tampa, FL - Hybrid - W2 only

Job Overview:
As a Delivery Automation (DevOps Developer), you will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain automation tools and processes that facilitate continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) for our software products. You will help us streamline our software delivery lifecycle, reduce manual intervention, and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

• Automate Software Delivery: Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate code integration, testing, and deployment processes. Ensure efficient and secure delivery of code to production environments.
• Infrastructure as Code: Implement and manage infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Design and implement containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar container orchestration technologies.
• Cloud Services Management: Build and manage resources on cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure, including compute, storage, networking, and security configurations.
• Version Control: Use version control systems (GitLab) to manage and document all automation scripts and workflows.
• Incident Response: Troubleshoot and resolve issues in automated processes, working collaboratively to prevent disruptions in the delivery pipeline.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices into the pipeline, ensuring that software deployments meet organizational security and compliance standards. Should have experience in Postgress and Mongo DB
• Disaster Recovery and Backup: Establish backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to maintain data integrity and service availability in case of outages.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, QA, and operations teams to design and optimize delivery workflows and ensure seamless integration between code changes and production systems.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience:
• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Delivery Automation, or related roles.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar.
• Expert with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience in scripting languages like Yaml, Bash, Python etc
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Experience with version control systems (GitLab).
• Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing and test-driven development (TDD) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with security tools and best practices in a DevOps environment.
• Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, etc.) are a plus
