Job Details

A dynamic company in the consumer and healthcare product space seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to drive innovation and lead the engineering team. They will own the electrical subsystems in our product portfolio, spearheading development from concept to launch. Must be able to guide strategic component selection, cost optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve exceptional user experiences.

  • Hybrid in Thousand Oaks
  • Contract to Hire (Direct Hire Possible)
  • Estimated Hourly Compensation $65-$80/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect electronics systems for complex consumer/healthcare products.
  • Lead product development efforts with minimal supervision.
  • Test, debug, and optimize hardware designs, collaborating with firmware and testing teams.
  • Forge strong partnerships with suppliers and manufacturers for seamless production.
  • Generate innovative solutions aligning with manufacturing, UX, and sustainability goals.
  • Contribute to project schedules and ensure timely delivery of milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering degree with an additional 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering design for mass-produced products.
  • 1+ years of team leadership or management experience.
  • Proficiency in Altium (or similar) for schematic capture and PCB design.
  • Deep understanding of PCB fabrication, component specifications, and SMT manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of signal integrity, power, thermal design, batteries, and relevant certifications.
  • Hands-on prototyping and testing skills.
  • Familiarity with product development processes and execution.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 10%).
