Our Analytics and Data Engineering team is looking for a world-class Engineering Manager to lead our Core Content Engagement Data team. This team is responsible for building scalable and robust data processing applications, powering content engagement data feeds across multiple Apple Services lines of business. Description As the Engineering Manager for the Core Content Engagement Data team, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented engineers in the design, development, and operation of our core data pipelines. You will work closely with peer engineering teams, data scientists and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team.
  • Architecting and designing scalable and efficient data processing pipelines.
  • Measuring and constantly improving data quality as well as system reliability and performance.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define data requirements.
  • Mentoring and developing engineers to grow their skills and careers.
  • Driving innovation and exploring new technologies to improve our data infrastructure.
  • Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Ensuring compliance with data privacy and security policies.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience leading engineering teams.
  • Experience leading engineering projects from inception to shipped software through several iterations and release cycles.
  • Hands-on experience architecting and designing large-scale data processing applications.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, especially in cross-functional settings.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with big data technologies, especially real-time stream processing with Apache Flink, Kafka, and Cassandra.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.
  • Experience with SQL as well as analytics and reporting tools.
  • Experience delivering AIML engineering projects, especially in the GenAI space.
  • A passion for mentoring and developing engineers.

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $228,100 and $342,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
