Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Engineering Manager to join our team supporting our Federal client in the Washington DC area! In this role you will get to lead a multi-disciplined engineering team providing onsite support at the client office

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Act as the Company representative with the client during the program execution.
  • Assist client to determine specific engineering support requirements to execute expanding construction program including developing or reviewing:
    • scope development, conceptual designs, design reviews, RFI reviews, Commissioning plans and activities
    • participate in Charettes (reviewer/advisor on deliverables)
    • review DD1391s and other scope documents / deliverables that establish the client facility needs
    • develop and reviewing cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments
    • review Design Documents and construction SOWs prepared by AE firms (Design Review)
    • perform constructability reviews
    • establish Commissioning roadmap and plan for multi-year construction program, review KTR Cx plans, advise on Cx trends/lessons learned
  • Monitor cost, schedule, and risk performance
  • Mobilize company resources, through liaison with technical design teams in other offices, new hires or specialty subcontractors to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • 12+ yrs management experience directing and overseeing multi-disciplined engineering teams in support of multi-$M Federal client construction programs
  • BS Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (an advanced degree is a bonus)
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Broad knowledge and experience with design reviews for Federal facilities and related infrastructure including: barracks, classroom/training facilities, marine docks, ship repair dry dock facilities, administrative buildings
  • Ability to develop and review statements of work for accuracy and completeness, including field sketches, CAD drawings, supplemental specifications required to support SOWs and supplemental construction directives.
  • Certification as a PMP with the Project Management Institute (PMI) or CCM with the Construction Management Association of American (CMAA) is a bonus.
  • Developed soft skills working as part of a team with Federal clients
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability for performing in a lead capacity on a project.

Salary Range: $144,800.00 - $260,600.00
