Unit Overview:
The Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge's Office of Research Information Systems (ORIS) team is responsible for providing services related to Data Analysis, Engineering, Integration, Management, Reporting and Security to all units and centers within ERIK.
Overview:
The ERIK Information Systems software development team designs, develops and supports applications that facilitate the business processes of all the units within ERIK.
The Senior Enterprise Applications Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining software systems and web applications under the direction of ERIK business analysts and the software development team manager. Creates and develops new web applications; maintains existing web applications, migrates legacy applications to current technologies, integrates other external and internal systems, and other software lifecycle duties as assigned. Identifies opportunities for new software development or web application enhancements and provides recommendations to management team; partners with internal and external system engineers regarding new programming or system implementations, including the Huron Research Suite. Ensures compliance with university policies on digital security and digital accessibility.

Additional Information:
The Target Hiring Range for this position is $88,300 - $115,350. The salary offer for this position will fall within this range based on the candidate's qualifications, internal equity, and the unit's available budget, which will be the primary determining factor.
Employees are provided several flexible work schedule and location options aligned with U.S. Eastern Time Zone including an option for remote. All employees are provided university-configured equipment and supportive technology tools. Employees are required to provide reliable internet access and home office furnishings for approved remote work locations.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer information science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with ReactJS, CSS, and TypeScript.
- Experience utilizing REST and GraphQL web services.
- Experience working with WCAG 2.X web accessibility standards.
- Experience with software prototype generation.
- Experience with package managers (such as yarn) and dependency troubleshooting.
- Experience with application and design system documentation creation.
- Working knowledge of design system creation tools; working knowledge of web application security standards.
- Working knowledge of Git and CI deployment tools; ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Desired Qualifications:
- 4-8 years of web application development experience.
- Experience with Material UI or similar component frameworks.
- Experience creating/maintaining design systems.
- Experience prototyping with Figma or Adobe XD.
- Working knowledge of automated testing for user interfaces.
- Working knowledge of Node.js frameworks such as Express.js or Next.js.
- Working knowledge of databases.
- Working knowledge of using Docker containers.
- Experience communicating with a wide range of individuals of varying technical skill.
