Senior IT Business Analyst

Sr IT Business Analyst(Must have Utility Domain experience and only local to TX or MS or AR or LA)

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: Full Time/Long Term

ComTec is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst with experience in the full software life cycle, encompassing requirements gathering, design, testing, and training. The candidate must be agile certified and must be able to execute workshops to gather, refine, and estimate user stories, and conduct GAP analysis. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high sense of urgency, be highly organized, and keep meticulous records.

Responsibilities

• Lead business requirements gathering workshops and document business requirements.
• Develop and document User Stories, to-be process flows, and work collaboratively with the development team to design a solution that will meet the business requirements.
• Support the tracking/monitoring of the lifecycle of business requirements from JIRA stories, through testing,
• Develop the training documentation (train the trainer and end user training).
• Creates process flowcharts, diagrams, drawings, and other related documentation.
• Assist in developing test plans and test cases.
• Support the tracking/monitoring of key business decisions.
• Support the consolidated tracking/monitoring of business action items through to completion.
• Support documentation control and management.
• Support project communication and outreach initiatives
• Support/maintain the business resource plan and schedule.
• Review of change, training, and business process deliverables.
• Assist in the development of business presentations to be shared with stakeholders
• Assist in stakeholder interviews as needed

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience working as an IT business analyst
• 7+ years' experience with elicitation and documentation of business and functional requirements
• Must be agile certified and be able to execute workshops to gather, refine, and estimate user stories, and conduct GAP analysis.
• Understanding of and experience in IT project management methodologies, requirements management, quality assurance, and IT processes.
• Experience working in the electric utilities industry is a plus.
• Experience (or knowledge) with customer billing systems is a plus.
• Good experience with the design and implementation of technical environments using various technologies and languages.
• Must have experience developing AS-IS and TO-BE business process flows.
• Must have in-depth knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes, the ability to identify, capture, and translate business requirements.
• Basic programming language knowledge, understanding of databases.
• Must have strong customer service skills.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation, facilitation, and coordination skills.
