Senior IT Business Analyst
Austin, TX - 30% Remote | 10+ Months

iSphere is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to join our client s Business Automation and Social Services Applications (SSA) team. This role calls for someone who thrives in complex IT environments, can translate policy into technical solutions, and enjoys working across business and technical teams to improve mission-critical eligibility systems.

What You ll Do

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs to keep technology aligned with overall business strategies.

  • Lead business process reengineering (BPR) efforts to identify and implement new applications and technology solutions that increase efficiency and service quality.

  • Serve as a senior analyst for SSA systems (including TIERS, SSP, EST), gathering and documenting detailed business requirements and system specifications.

  • Translate policies, regulations, and program requirements into actionable technical requirements, including detailed business rules and functional specifications.

  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

  • Analyze performance data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements; present findings and reports to leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Provide production support and technical assistance to end users, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Mentor junior staff and provide expert consultation on complex business and technical issues.

What You ll Bring

  • Experience: 4+ years mentoring or providing consultation to IT/business staff, analyzing and interpreting technical information (policy, regulations, system documentation), and preparing concise business requirements and technical specifications.

  • Skilled in writing and reviewing complex documentation, technical designs, and project deliverables.

  • Strong ability to communicate clearly with a broad range of stakeholders, from technical teams to executive leadership.

  • Proven track record in business process mapping, reengineering, and developing solution options including ROI, cost/benefit, and risk analysis.
