Role: Senior IT Project Manager
Location: Chicago, IL ( Hybrid onsite ) - LOCAL
Must have experience with Kong API Management ( Konnect )
Past airline experience is a plus
Past Hyatt experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage complex IT programs with cross-functional dependencies.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource estimates.
Track project progress, manage risks, and adapt to changing priorities and timelines.
Coordinate efforts of internal teams and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
Communicate clearly and consistently with stakeholders through reports and updates.
Oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure project documentation, status tracking, and governance standards are met.
Act as a mentor to junior project managers or team members.
Participate in stakeholder meetings and lead discussions as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in a technical, business, or scientific field (or equivalent work experience).
Scrum Master certification required; PMP certification is a plus.
Demonstrated leadership in managing multiple IT projects concurrently.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Proven experience with both Agile and traditional SDLC methodologies.
Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Visio, Clarity, and Jira.
Ability to work independently and make critical decisions with minimal supervision.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in high-pressure environments.
Exceptional stakeholder management, with experience gathering business requirements and coordinating across departments.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Background in the technology sector or similarly fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
Experience managing vendor resources and third-party engagements.
Familiarity with enterprise-level governance and change management processes.
