PG&E IT is a unified organization composed of various departments which collaborate effectively to plan, deliver, and operate high quality technology solutions. The Geographic Information System Center of Excellence (GIS CoE) has the responsibility for maintaining and operating IT GIS applications that support Gas, Electric, Power Generation, IT Fiber, and other functional areas while also delivering IT projects and solutions in support of company business goals and priorities.
Position Summary
This position is calling for a Senior Level Project Manager to act as the Program Controller for our Elevate Program. As the Program Controller you will be instrumental in managing the IT administrative stewardship for the largest geospatial program in PG&E's history. In this role you will own the coordination of financial reporting, contract management, schedule management, reporting documentation, and general administrative management for our IT Program Management responsibilities. This role is calling for someone who can rapidly build strong working relationships with other Project Managers while driving a shared ownership of quality results.
PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.
Pay range: $129,000.00 - $184,800.00
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office at our Oakland Headquarters based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, resource plans, and metrics while monitoring progress and implementing necessary changes using PG&E tool(s).
- Provide leadership, direction, and clear communication to project teams and stakeholders, defining roles and responsibilities to deliver on time and accurate information.
- Own the final quality check for ALL status reporting sent to Senior Leadership
- Coordinate contracts, resources, and logistics, and ensure all documentation and reporting is completed using standard PG&E tools.
- Accurately and consistently forecast project resource, material and contract costs within a standard PG&E tool(s).
- Own the administration of contracts from start to finish.
- Own all applicable financial functions in projects as necessary.
- End to end management of POs/PRs.
- Assist with the administration of onboarding/offboarding as needed.
- Assist with the creation and approval of program deliverables as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience managing one or more moderately complex IT product/software development cycles/projects
- Experience with IT professional service agreements and materials logistics
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
Desired:
- Experience managing large budgets in excess of $1M
- Experience as Project Manager, journey-level
- Electric and Gas Utility experience
- Strong financial acumen with 5+ years experience with budgets exceeding $3M
