Job Position: Senior IT Project Manager

Job Location: 100% Remote

Job Duration: 6+ Months Contract

 

Job Description:

  • Partner with Business PM and drive all IT aspects of project delivery.
  • Coordinates and communicates on IT aspects of project delivery.
  • Working closely with the Business Relationship Manager, the IT PM is accountable for the governance, planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting on IT aspects of project delivery.
  • Works closely across all groups within IT to ensure IT deliverables and milestones are delivered including solutioning, planning, pricing, design, build, testing, release management, hypercare, and end-of–project retrospectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Applies project management disciplines and experience, develops plans to include project definitions, scope, business requirements, cost, completion dates, resource allocation, and quality/reliability for a group of projects in 1 or more complex programs
  • Actively partners with cross functional teams
  • Accountable for establishing and managing multiple IT project deliverables, communicating project and program vision, and ensuring resources are aligned properly
  • Maintains the IT project budget schedules, and manages resource levels to achieve project success
  • Manages and grooms’ backlog for 1 or more programs
  • Utilize agile, waterfall and hybrid methodologies, driving technical and functional teams to complete critical path business requirements in a timely fashion
  • Develops and implements corrective action plans when deviations from budgets and/or schedules are evident
  • Follow up with project team members and drives closure on actions items
  • Identify and capture risk(s) to the project, develop and follow thru on mitigation plan
  • Prioritizes IT work on projects and programs based on business need and capability
  • Drives expectation setting and leadership management
  • Facilitates vendor selection process and manages IT related vendor relationships
  • Maintains a high level of organization and planning while communicating with stakeholders to reach timelines and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Regularly identifies risks and communicates project health to senior leadership
  • Identifies and directs changes through appropriate review and approval mechanisms
  • Resolves most conflicts between timeline, budget, and scope independently, but intuitively escalates complex issues to Portfolio management
  • Looks for IT PMM process definition and improvement opportunities and leads others in adhering to existing processes and contributing to their improvement
  • Demonstrates flexibility and resilience in response to changing or ambiguous work situations
  • Extensive IT project management experience able to navigate through complex matrixed IT organizations

 

Qualifications     

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of IT program management experience.
  • Experience in successfully leading and managing across diverse projects and programs
  • Experience doing large, complex cross-functional, global integration of ERPs (SAP)
  • Experience with M&A integrations
  • Experience in Agile methodology, Agile certification preferred
  • Extensive experience in managing project application testing and systems integration
  • Strong cross-group collaboration skills and experience working across multiple teams both within the division and across the company
  • Excellent interpersonal, human relations, written, verbal and listening communication skills
  • Experience with working with MS Project, O365, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint
