Industrial Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:

As an industrial engineer, you'll play an integral role in the strategic planning and execution work required to provide our Navy clients with big-picture ideas rooted in technical and data-driven solutions that will help to propel them into the future and ensure military and maritime dominance.

You will c ond uct analyses on supply chains of critical weapon systems in order to provide recommendations for optimization. You will analyze manufacturing processes using a variety of tools and develop and present actionable recommendations for process improvements to optimize throughput. You will collaborate directly with suppliers and the U.S. Navy to implement changes and monitor progress while identifying further risks to production schedules and quality. You will support further cross-functional teams in this area performing similar work, and you will mentor junior employees performing this type of support.

You will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders around the world to work collaboratively to improve communication and workflow. You thrive on supporting a winning team and are eager to develop your acquisition, program management, and logistics expertise. You have a direct finger on the pulse of the policies , guidelines, and procedures required to ensure quality and cost control across a Navy major program office.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing and production at a mid- or large-scale defense contractor
  • Knowledge of processes related to weapon system production
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles
  • Knowledge of supply chain risk management concepts, including concepts related to manufacturing and quality management
  • Ability to participate in or lead various integrated product teams ( IPTs )
  • Ability to travel to supplier sites up to 30% of the time, with higher tempo near start of employment
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering


Nice If You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience serving in or supporting the U.S. Navy, including c ond ucting product support manager functions or production support in a USN program office
  • Experience using Python or R
  • Experience with program management of major ACAT programs
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS09100 standards
  • Master's degree
  • PMP, DAWIA PM, or LCL Level II or III Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
