Senior Informatics Analyst/Developer

The Informatics Analyst Developer's role is to support and enhance the organization s electronic medical records (EMR) system and associated technical infrastructure. This includes managing database environments, optimizing data workflows, and creating automation tools that improve system functionality and user experience. The Informatics Analyst Developer ensures the integrity, reliability, and efficiency of EMR operations by maintaining and troubleshooting the technical components that support clinical workflows and data accessibility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic medical record (EMR) systems and data warehouses in MySQL and MSSQL environments.

Configure, monitor, and optimize database performance and reliability, including managing master-slave replication setups.

Perform database backups, recoveries, migrations, and ensure data integrity across systems.

Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting languages like PowerShell or Python.

Develop custom tools and applications using C#, Python, or similar programming languages to meet the needs of the healthcare environment.

Design, develop, and deliver reports tailored to organizational needs.

Provide technical support for EMR-related issues, including system upgrades, integrations, and user inquiries.

Collaborate with IT, clinical staff, and other stakeholders to understand technical requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

Work with healthcare teams to customize workflows and interfaces within the EMR system to optimize efficiency.

Perform other duties as assigned by management or organizational leadership.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field, strongly preferred.

3-5 years of experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, strongly preferred.

Strong proficiency in MySQL and MSSQL, including database management and replication.

Knowledge of HL7 standards, FHIR, and APIs for system integration and data exchange.

Programming experience in C#, Python, or other relevant languages.

Proficient with PowerShell and workflow automation tools like Power Automate.

Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications and their integration capabilities.
