Senior Integration Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Senior Integration Developer in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain APIs for integrating third-party education applications
* Build secure, scalable endpoints with authentication, version control, and messaging best practices
* Test and validate API integrations regularly to ensure reliability
* Implement translation layers to map external data structures to internal models
* Collaborate on data exchange standards to support interoperability
* Enforce best practices for public API service boundaries to ensure security and scalability
* Coordinate with Data Engineering, Database Administration, and Cloud teams to support MDM, ETL workflows, reporting, and storage
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integrations to maintain consistent data availability
* Participate in software development efforts, including code reviews and collaboration for coding consistency
* Provide technical recommendations to align solutions with enterprise architecture and strategic goals
* Offer guidance on data handling, system integration, and technical implementation to support evolving data strategies

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience designing and building API integrations with third-party platforms
* Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, authentication (OAuth, API keys), versioning, and usage analysis
* Familiarity with education data standards
* Proficient in Jira for tracking tasks, sprints, and releases
* Experience leading cross-functional teams in Agile environments, including planning, communication, and resource coordination
* Able to facilitate Scrum ceremonies and coach teams on Agile principles
* Skilled in complex data mapping and translation across data models
* Strong understanding of secure API design and public service boundary best practices
* Experience with JSON, XML, and data architectures including MDM, ETL, reporting, and storage
* Familiar with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
* Proficient in C#, Java, Python, Node.js, and API protocols like REST, SOAP, GraphQL
* Effective collaborator with internal teams, vendors, and business stakeholders
* Experienced in code reviews, managing technical debt, and contributing to shared codebases
* Capable of translating business goals into scalable, well-documented technical solutions

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
