The AMCSSI team within the Account Master Central Group is seeking a Senior Java Application Developer to join our development team. AMCSSI is the strategic reference data settlement instruction repository. The application must support backward compatibility to the legacy SSI platform, as well as integrate with Middle and Back Office systems to consume settlement instructions from the strategic platform. System performance and data quality are vital in ensuring stability in daily transaction processing.
Potential Candidates must have experience with, and be enthusiastic about, developing all areas of java based programming. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: writing large scale Java based Web Applications to be deployed on Web Logic and standalone processes to run on Linux servers.
All potential candidates must be able to work in a dynamic team environment which includes developers working with different technologies other than Java (such as scripting language like Groovy and shell script) across multiple regions, and be able to integrate their application components with other team members.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the AMCSSI BAs to understand requirements and team architect to drive technical solutions;
- Develop web-based front-end application and back end components using approved technologies as per the Functional Requirements Document;
- Ensure unit testing is created and executed on every component and functionality changed;
- Monitor process flows and review alert messaging to proactively remediate potential issues;
- Continuously document all environmental procedures;
- Investigate level 2 issues and influence change with development teams to improve system stability and business objectives;
- Work collaboratively with other functional teams to investigate and remediate data quality issues;
- Improve personal and team productivity through innovations and use of available tools;
- Comply with mandated policies and procedures and contribute in procedural improvements;
- Accurately estimate effort for assigned tasks and consistently meet commitments;
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills;
- Experience working in a fast paced environment;
- Strong experience of Software Development Lifecycle processes;
- Experience of delivering projects as part of a cross location team;
- Should be hands-on and have ability to do coding and operate independently;
- Must have worked on unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito and TestNG;
Required Skills
- 5+ years minimum core Java
- 5+ years of experience with Spring framework, Spring Boot, Java messaging EMS and REST services
- 3+ year of experience UI development with Angular (any version from 11 to recent) and Bootstrap
- Hibernate framework
- Basic Unix/Linux commands
- Oracle and MongoDB Database - general CRUD activity
- Prior Reference Data experience across Accounts, Standing Settlement Instructions, Omgeo ALERT are a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
