What We're Doing
At Lockheed Martin's RMS business in Mount Laurel, NJ, we are working on many exciting defense programs and developing cutting edge products and applications to meet the complex and evolving needs of our customers. A major portion of our work includes writing robust software and firmware applications and doing some very impressive modeling and simulations for these exciting and mission critical programs. We are currently looking to fill roles on the Mission Planner DevSecOps Engineering Team.
The Work
We are seeking experienced Senior Systems Engineers to support multiple Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) programs and participate in all phases of the systems engineering process (system design, requirements development, modeling and simulation and test). The engineer will leverage RMS systems engineering processes and procedures while performing their respective engineering and verification activities.
In this important role, you will collaborate in an Agile environment with other engineering disciplines and program personnel. A desire to learn and adopt emerging technologies and tools will be key to success in this role.
The core responsibilities of this role will be:
Gathering requirements, defining system functionality and developing system requirements
Developing and executing test plans and procedures
Troubleshooting, debugging and identifying solutions for system capabilities
Taking ownership for increasingly difficult tasks, completing them on schedule, documenting results, and leading demonstrations
Supporting the development and work breakdown of new complex design problems to be implemented in software applications across multiple software versions
