The Opportunity

Firefly is the new family of creative generative AI models coming to Adobe products that offers a new way to conceptualise, build, and scale content. It's a natural extension of the technology Adobe has produced over the past 40 years.

At the core of Firefly are our commercially safe AI models trained on hundreds of millions of images owned or licensed by Adobe. We are hiring for a highly strategic and visible role to help evolve these models and the associated prompt engine. This is an opportunity to reach millions of creatives, helping them recreate the way they work.
What you will Do
  • Deliver end-to-end machine learning solutions that have organizational-wide impact using innovative architectures
  • Contribute to the backend services for Firefly that power the generative AI features on Firefly website, Photoshop, Illustrator, Express, Stock and other applications/surfaces
  • Develop GPU optimized, efficient model pipelines for new Firefly features serving a variety of modalities like images, vectors, 3D, etc.
  • Ensure a scalable, reliable cloud service with observability, logging and tracing to enable quick detection, understanding and resolution of run-time issues
  • Chip in to Project Colligo, the AI superhighway for inference that will handle and serve a collection of ML models in a highly scalable and resilient system
  • Develop critical aspects of the business logic in the Firefly services to ensure metering of usage, entitlement checks, quota limits and upsell workflows
What you need to succeed
  • PhD or Masters in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Vision, Robotics, related field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with PyTorch and Python in a production environment
  • Proficient with OpenCV
  • Image Processing, Computer Vision, Generative AI experience is a MUST
  • Validated expertise in creation and optimization as well as operation of GPU intensive ML workloads in production environments
  • Deep understanding of model serving, orchestration, scaling and GPU resource management
  • Demonstrated experience productizing pipelines using generative models
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication, relationship skills and a strong team player

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $170,900 -- $325,200 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
