What does a successful Senior Manager - Software Development do at Fiserv?

As a Senior Manager - Software Development you will lead a team of talented developers to create innovative solutions that address complex business challenges. Your role will involve overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software applications, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality projects.

What you will do:

  • Lead and manage a team of software developers, providing direction and guidance to ensure successful project delivery
  • Own the delivery of key initiatives
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software applications that align with Fiserv's strategic goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely and on-budget delivery
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment


What you will need to have:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development
  • 7+ years of payment experience in the merchant acquiring domain
  • 7+ years of experience in Java or any similar technologies
  • 5+ years of experience in relational databases like Oracle, DB2, MYSQL
  • 4+ years of experience of managing and scaling engineering teams
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience


What would be great to have:

  • Experience in developing software for onboarding, authorization, billing or settlement platforms in payment card processing domain
  • Experience in estimating effort for team in a large scale enterprise wide initiative

Salary Range

$128,000.00 - $216,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
