About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager of Engineering to lead plant engineering and maintenance operations in San Antonio. This role oversees a team of engineers and maintenance managers, ensuring smooth plant operations, reliable equipment, and continuous improvement across all systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage engineering and maintenance teams, providing direction and support.
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Plan and manage capital and expense projects, ensuring safety, quality, and budget alignment.
  • Drive continuous improvement and implement new technologies to optimize plant performance.
  • Collaborate with leadership on productivity, safety, and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.

What We re Looking For

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of engineering/maintenance experience in food manufacturing, including at least 1 year in management.
  • Experience with capital projects, budgeting, environmental compliance, and PLC programming.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
