ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to join our team in Stafford, VA.
This is a full-time onsite position where you will provide subject matter expertise to perform MBSE activities using Cameo Systems Modeler in support of a critical Department of Defense (DoD) mission.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in systems modeling, operational architecture, and mission thread development in alignment with DoDAF and UAF frameworks. This role is pivotal in supporting mission engineering analysis, capability gap assessment, and architecture development within a highly dynamic and collaborative environment to enable and enhance our Nation's fighting forces.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead the development and maintenance of system models for DoD mission engineering projects using Cameo Systems Modeler.
- Design and update mission threads, operational views, and system architecture models in line with DoDAF/UAF standards.
- Integrate both existing and new capabilities into mission-level architectural models.
- Work with stakeholders to find capability gaps, define decision points, and assist with data-driven risk and performance assessments.
- Collaborate with various teams, including systems engineers and analysts, to ensure traceability between requirements and operational objectives.
- Contribute to a collaborative modeling environment, such as a Government-managed Teamwork Cloud.
- Prepare and deliver technical briefings and model walkthroughs to Government stakeholders, and mentor others on MBSE processes and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field or Master's degree with 7+ years of professional experience in systems modeling using Cameo SystemModeler (MagicDraw). A total of 15 years experience required without degree.
- Deep knowledge of DoDAF, UAF, SysML, and model organization best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Teamwork Cloud and other simulation/analysis tool integrations.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements management, system architecture, and verification and validation.
- Strong understanding of mission engineering, kill chains/kill webs, and joint all-domain operations concepts like CJADC2.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to deliver briefings to senior leadership and work effectively with technical and operational teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with international standards like ISO and IEEE.
- Experience working with a DoD Combatant Command or supporting Navy, Marine Corps, or Joint Staff missions.
- Familiarity with MBSE for advanced prototyping and digital engineering efforts, along with knowledge of government modeling environments like the Navy Integrated Modeling Environment (NIME).
- Relevant certifications, including OCSMP, INCOSE CSEP/ESEP, or DoDAF/UAF certifications.
Clearance Requirements:
- Candidate must have an active / current TS/SCI clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
- Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
