Senior Network Manager/Extreme

As a Network Engineering Manager specializing in Extreme Networks, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of the diverse clientele. Leveraging your in-depth knowledge of Extreme Networks' products and technologies, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance network infrastructure that drives business growth and innovation.
Other duties will include, managing about 3-6 direct reports of Network Engineers.
Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design and Implementation: Design, deploy, and optimize network architectures based on Extreme Networks' solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Configuration and Troubleshooting: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network devices, including switches, routers, and wireless access points, to maintain optimal network performance and uptime.
• Security Implementation: Implement and maintain robust network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems, to safeguard critical assets and data.
• Performance Optimization: Proactively identify and address network performance bottlenecks, conducting thorough analysis and implementing optimization strategies to enhance overall network efficiency.
• Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Systems Administrators and Security Analysts, to integrate network infrastructure with other IT systems and applications. Provide technical support and expertise to resolve escalated network issues in a timely manner.
• Documentation and Best Practices: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures. Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously enhance network capabilities.
• Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning assessments to anticipate future network requirements and ensure scalability to accommodate business growth and evolving technology demands.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in network engineering roles, with a focus on Extreme Networks' solutions.
• Professional certifications such as Extreme Networks Certified Specialist (ECS) or Extreme Networks Certified Expert (ECE) preferred.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Extreme Networks' switches, routers, and wireless solutions.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and SNMP.
• Solid grasp of network security principles and technologies, including firewall configuration and VPN implementation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven track record of managing complex network projects from conception to completion.
