Summary

We're looking for a high-performing and self-motivated Power BI Developer with strong healthcare software solution expertise to join our M&O team and be the key resource for sustaining and supporting our analytics and reporting systems at Gainwell Technologies. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, infrastructure, and product teams, and involves ongoing interaction with a variety of end-users and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Power BI, exceptional SQL skills, and experience with SSIS, possessing 8-15 years of hands-on report and dashboard development experience across various data repositories (e.g., data warehouses, data lakes, data marts), metadata management, dimensional modeling, and ETL/integration.

Your role in our mission

  • Design, develop, conduct unit testing, and maintain complex Power BI reports and dashboards for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.
  • Provide technical expertise in areas of architecture, design, and implementation of Power BI solutions.
  • Determine the best implementation methods to meet architectural design requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to create insightful reports and dashboards that drive business value, automate processes, and improve decision-making.
  • Work through iterative review cycles to deliver results that meet or exceed user expectations.
  • Ensure consistency by adhering to a set of software coding and style guides.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing Power BI solutions, including data modeling, DAX, and Databricks.
  • Resolve support tickets related to Power BI reports, datasets, and data connections.
  • Use existing experience in healthcare or Medicaid to drive analytics processes and improvements.
  • Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
  • Power BI or relevant report development certification is a plus.


What we're looking for

  • Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structure and translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Advanced knowledge of Power BI with strong familiarity with other reporting tools such as Tableau, Business Objects, or Crystal Reports, and best practices in scalability, performance, content management, and governance.
  • Advanced understanding of SQL, relational database management systems, data modeling, and normalization, with strong knowledge of data extraction mechanisms and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong development skills in Power BI, data analytics, and visualizations.

The pay range for this position is $72,800.00 - $104,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
