Position Overview
The organization is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (Level 3) to provide project management consulting services for the successful delivery of assigned initiatives within a large, enterprise-level project portfolio. This role operates within the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and supports a major legacy system replacement program while collaborating closely with internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Provide senior-level project management services to support enterprise initiatives
Manage projects within a portfolio, including complex initiatives with multiple workstreams and sub-projects
Collaborate with internal teams and manage vendor relationships supporting program delivery
Apply PMI PMBOK standards, project management best practices, and lifecycle methodologies across all initiatives
Act as the primary point of contact for overall project status, including:
Scope, schedule, cost, quality, and change management
Risk, issue, procurement, and stakeholder management
Communications and reporting
Provide guidance on process improvement opportunities, including standardization, automation, and business process reengineering (BPR)
Lead, mentor, and manage project teams while fostering a collaborative working environment
Deliver clear, concise, and actionable status reports to senior leadership
Proactively seek and integrate feedback to refine project deliverables
Mandatory Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience managing large-scale projects with multiple workstreams or sub-projects
5+ years of experience within a Project Management Office (PMO) environment
Senior-level experience developing strategies and plans to support organizational change initiatives
Strong understanding of PMO practices, including project governance and resource management
Experience managing system integration vendors and coordinating project stakeholders, including teams of 15+ personnel
Demonstrated ability to independently lead and manage project teams
Strong stakeholder engagement and communications management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, including leadership, negotiation, collaboration, and conflict resolution
Proven experience producing executive-level project reports outlining progress, risks, challenges, and next steps
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools:
Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
Experience with project management tools (e.g., Planview, Sensei IQ)
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required
Preferred / Desirable Experience
Experience with Planview PPM Pro
Experience with Sensei IQ
Experience supporting pension administration systems
Familiarity with multiple project delivery methodologies, including:
Agile
Hybrid
COTS
Iterative
Waterfall
