Propulsion Performance Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Propulsion Performance Engineer to enhance our Propulsion Development team. This role is critical in developing and optimizing advanced propulsion systems to meet our aggressive and innovative goals. You will leverage expertise in aerodynamics, combustion, fluid dynamics, and system integration to ensure our engines achieve world-class performance, reliability, and efficiency.

WHAT YOULL DO:

• Perform aerodynamic, thermodynamic, and combustion analyses to evaluate and improve engine and component designs.
• Use CFD and system-level simulations to predict engine performance across the operating envelope.
• Analyze and manage engine performance data from component and system-level tests.
• Contribute to the design and evaluation of combustion systems, turbomachinery, and secondary flow networks.
• Support engine and flight testing, including pre-test predictions, data reduction, and correlation to models.
• Own cradle to grave development of turbomachinery components

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in turbomachinery analysis
• Strong background in aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and/or fluid dynamics.
• Experience with CFD or turbomachinery analysis tools (e.g., Fluent, Star CCM+, NPSS, ADS, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret experimental or simulation data.

US Salary Range

$146,000-$194,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
