Senior SCADA Systems Engineer

This growing energy player is expanding and seeking to hire a Senior SCADA Systems Engineer responsible for the SCADA system and oversight to the SCADA team. You will be responsible for all of the enterprise’s operating assets to provide secure systems and data services across the entire organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise the development, deployment, and support for core SCADA application and other systems including FlowCal, Cygnet and supporting databases.
• Support the troubleshooting and development of the SCADA system.
• Work across the enterprise to develop planning and development of strategies, projects, new functionality, and tools.
• Implement corporate SCADA goals and initiatives.
• Supervise SCADA integration, monitoring and preventive maintenance program for control system network.
• Participate in troubleshooting issues and solutions development.
• Recommend new technologies, identify trends in SCADA and enhance processes for efficient management of the department.

BACKGROUND

• Expert role for an Oil & Gas company advising on and supporting field automation systems and workflows
• Solid experience leading SCADA and facility communication systems.
• Extensive experience and knowledge of SCADA software systems such as Ignition, Cygnet, Wonderware, Telvent, etc.
• Extensive relational and non-relational database and SQL experience.
• Knowledge of measurement systems such as FLOWCAL.
• Knowledge of architecture methodologies, data requirements, application functionalities, and processes.
• Good experience with Common Networking, Field Telecommunications, and desktop productivity tools, processes, and standards.
• Experience working and managing third-party contractors and vendors.
