Job Title: Senior Serverless Developer (AWS Lambda, Python, API Gateway, SQL)

Job Summary:

The Senior Serverless Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient serverless applications using AWS Lambda, Python, and API Gateway. This role requires strong expertise in SQL for database interactions and experience with cloud-native architectures. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, capable of leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy serverless applications and APIs using AWS Lambda, Python, and API Gateway.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and database schemas for various relational databases.
  • Integrate serverless applications with other AWS services (e.g., S3, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, SNS).
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment of serverless applications.
  • Ensure the performance, security, and scalability of serverless solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in development and production environments.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Stay current with emerging AWS services and serverless best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Python.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS serverless services, including Lambda and API Gateway.
  • Proficiency in SQL for database design, querying, and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of serverless architectures, event-driven design patterns, and microservices.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
