We are looking for Senior Service Designer for our client in San Jose, CA
Job Title: Senior Service Designer
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
Pay Range: $74hr - $77hr
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate creation of aligned strategic visions.
- Build roadmaps and priorities using insights from partner departments.
- Analyze policies and organizational dynamics that impact service delivery.
- Support transitions across tools, processes, and touchpoints.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems with technology.
- Advocate for service design and establish standards.
- Lead early project stages and facilitate discovery.
- Facilitate workshops and uncover user problems and opportunities.
- Analyze system constraints and possibilities.
- Collaborate with UX Research to plan and conduct user research.
- Co-create solutions with partner staff.
- Translate needs into business/product/service requirements.
- Design future state experiences and systems.
- Craft stories and presentations.
- Create deliverables (service blueprints, journey maps, system maps).
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience solving complex design/tech problems using systems thinking.
- Ability to lead projects autonomously.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills.
- Ability to justify design decisions using research.
- Strong facilitation and workshop leadership.
- Ability to apply design research.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- Creativity in solving ambiguous problems.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Service Design, HCI, or related.
- Master s degree preferred.
