Description This role is for a senior engineer in the Apple Ads Attribution Engineering team. You have the opportunity to have a huge impact in proving the effectiveness of Apple Ads to our advertising partners.

Responsibilities
  • Build the foundational pieces of the next generation of Apple's Ad Platform Attribution capabilities
  • Collaborate with product management to define both internal and external APIs for attribution capturing and reporting.
  • Design and implement low latency, highly-available, high volume advertiser facing systems in a cloud environment.
  • Design and implement libraries that will run directly on Apple devices.
  • Engineer secure, extensible aggregation data pipelines utilizing an array of reporting methods (eg: Snowflake Notebooks, Tableau, Microservice APIs)
  • Participate in rotational on-call schedule
  • Partner with program management, network engineering and other cross functional teams on the larger initiatives
  • Work simultaneously on multiple projects competing for your time and understand how to prioritize them accordingly

Minimum Qualifications
  • 8 or more years of industry experience building scalable micro services
  • Strong computer science fundamentals.
  • Prior experience with Java/Scala/C++ or equivalent.
  • Expertise in relational datastores ( e.g Postgres or Oracle)
  • Expertise in NoSQL datastores ( e.g Druid, Cassandra or DynamoDB )
  • Proficiency in data processing technologies (e.g Kafka, Spark, Flink )
  • Experience crafting scalable micro services.
  • Familiarity with cloud paradigms ( e.g AWS or Google Cloud Platform )
  • Proven ability to work on revenue impacting distributed problems and systems
  • Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering discipline or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior Advertising experience is a plus
  • iOS development experience (Swift)
  • Master's degree preferred.
