Job Summary:
This exciting opportunity is full-time with Pellera Technologies. The Solutions Architect will work together with clients while directly supporting our sales team. The ability to clearly articulate solutions and services to our existing client base and prospects is essential. Involvement in client opportunities starts with the initial client meeting and continues through the design phases of the solution. The technical competencies we are seeking in this role revolve around IBM Power ; specifically IBM i (formerly iSeries & AS/400) and Power Virtual Server (PowerVS).

Essential Functions:
- Provide technical presales support to our Account Executives.
- Deliver detailed statements of work (SOW) and proposals with a high-level project plan.
- Deliver accurate Bills of Materials.
- Communicate with the technical services delivery team to convey client end-goals.
- Manage your own time, calendar and follow-ups.
- Be consultative with a trusted advisor approach.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- IBM Power experience is required, including Power Virtualization (VIO, Power VM, Power VC), HMC/Virtual HMC, HA/DR (Power HA, MIMIX), IBM Cloud/PowerVS.
- A strong knowledge of IBM i is required.
- AIX, Linux, and/or Red Hat OpenShift experience is desired.
- Knowledge of IBM Power ISVs is a plus.
- 5+ years of IBM Power experience with knowledge of associated best practices and technology.
- 3+ years of pre-sales, client facing experience OR equivalent experience as a post-sales consulting engineer with the desire to enter pre-sales profession.
