This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for Senior Structural Analysis Engineers for current and emerging programs across the St. Louis region, including Berkeley, MO, Hazelwood, MO, and Mascoutah, IL.

At Boeing, a Structural Analysis Engineers develop and document structural requirements to guide system design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods and simulations. They create test plans, support test execution, and analyze results to ensure systems meet specifications and certification standards. Additionally, they investigate in-service product issues and recommend improvements for various Boeing aircraft, unmanned vehicles and more.

These structural analysts support the following programs:

F-47 - the next generation fighter for the Air Force

T-7A - the next generation trainer for the Air Force

F-15, F/A-18, EA-18G, F-22 - production tactical fighter aircraft ongoing major upgrades

Several programs within the Phantom Works organization

MQ-25 - Autonomous Carrier Landing Vehicle for the Navy

Precision Engagement Systems (PES) including Direct Attack weapons (JDAM, SDB, MOP, HAAWC and associated derivatives) and Cruise Missiles (SLAM ER, Harpoon and development weapons)

Boeing Global Services including Support Equipment, Government Training Engineering, and US Air Force Programs Modification, Sustainment, and Product Support

777X commodity design, fabrication and manufacture

Boeing Test and Evaluation

Position Responsibilities:

Leads development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design.

Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.

Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.

Leads development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.

Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.

Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.

Works under minimal direction. Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

10+ years of relevant structural analysis experience

8+ years experience analyzing primary structure, subsystems, or weapons in the Aerospace Industry

Experience performing hand calculations, using industry CAD system (e.g. PRO-E, SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD, NX/Teamcenter, CATIA/ENOVIA), FEM software (PATRAN/NASTRAN, Stresscheck, Hyperworks, Abaqus), and MS Office

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience with Boeing Analysis Tools (CAESAR, Lifeworks, Mechanica, Common Structures Workstation).
