Job Description:
  • The Senior IT Specialist will serve as a technical escalation point and provide advanced support for core IT systems in a Microsoft enterprise environment.
  • This role will collaborate with third-party vendors, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • The specialist will also ensure proper documentation of systems and processes to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide complex issue resolution as an escalation point for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to coordinate advanced technical support and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Support and manage core IT systems including Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Windows OS, VPN, RDP, and Microsoft Teams softphones.
  • Research, recommend, and implement technical solutions to improve system efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.
Requirements / Must Have:
  • 10+ years of IT experience.
  • Proven expertise in Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Windows operating systems, desktop deployment, VPN, RDP, and Microsoft Teams.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in a Microsoft enterprise environment, including:

    Windows Client and Windows Server in production environments.
  • Configuring Windows Infrastructure via Group Policy and/or scripts.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Understanding of the TCP/IP Stack and common services (DNS, DHCP).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite/Enterprise Mobility + Security (EM+S) is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience with Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) upgrades, consolidations, and migrations.
  • 2+ years of Office/Microsoft 365 experience, with at least 1 year migrating mailboxes.
  • 1+ years of experience with Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) or Azure Active Directory, with understanding of SAML 2.0 and cloud SSO providers.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure management and SharePoint support is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience coordinating with third-party technical support vendors.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Windows Server, Office 365, Azure) highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of IT service management and ITIL best practices is a plus.
