Role Overview
As a Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer, you will lead the planning and execution of integration and test activities across critical hardware systems. You'll provide technical solutions, collaborate across disciplines, and ensure the safe and flawless operation of advanced aerospace and defense technologies. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in hands-on environments and wants to directly impact system reliability and mission readiness.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and execute assembly and sub-assembly level testing
Conduct integration of lab, ground, flight, or shipboard systems
Serve as (or obtain) a Certified Test Conductor (CTC) to direct test activities
Apply engineering expertise in instrumentation, controls logic, data acquisition, and test disciplines
Integrate COTS hardware, troubleshoot mechanical/electronic issues, and operate Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
Utilize modern Test & Measurement Equipment (T&ME) and testing techniques
Support automation of test activities using frameworks and scripting tools
Collaborate within a fast-paced test environment; support alternate shifts or travel as needed
Emphasize safety, quality, and error-prevention in all test operations
Work Environment
Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with flexibility for alternative shifts or overtime based on test needs
On-site, hands-on engineering role in an advanced integration and test facility
Fast-paced, collaborative team setting
Work involves large-scale aerospace hardware, precision instrumentation, and mission-critical test operations
Basic Qualifications
Candidates must meet ALL of the following requirements
Experience performing assembly and/or sub-assembly level testing
Willingness and ability to work extended hours, off-shifts, and weekends as needed
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Desired skills
"Nice-to-have" qualities that strengthen your candidacy
Current LM Certified Test Conductor (CTC) certification (or equivalent)
Experience with Automation Framework tools
Hands-on experience integrating flight, ground, missile, launch vehicle, spacecraft, or aircraft systems
Familiarity with scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, Perl, TML3, JSON)
Experience implementing test best practices and lessons learned
Demonstrated success delivering tasks on time and within budget
Strong leadership capabilities with experience leading teams or projects
Knowledge of products and equipment used for testing
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field (preferred)

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
