Job Title: Senior Systems Analyst

Location: Fully On-site McLean, VA

Duration: Temp to Hire

 

Overview:
We re seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join a high-impact, enterprise-level Accounting Platform Modernization initiative. In this role, you ll bridge business goals with technical delivery supporting cross-functional teams to drive end-to-end modernization of critical financial systems and subledgers. You ll be instrumental in enhancing SOX compliance, financial reporting, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support Agile projects within the Multifamily Finance space.
Gather, document, and validate business and non-functional requirements.
Define user stories in Gherkin format and guide change initiatives.
Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, QA, and business stakeholders.
Conduct impact analysis, root cause analysis, and UAT support.
Serve as SME for key business processes and systems.
Drive test planning, documentation, and execution with stakeholders.

Required Skills:
5+ years as a Systems Analyst or in a similar role.
Strong Finance/Accounting domain experience.
Proficient in SQL, Excel, SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence.
Experience with Agile methodologies and SOX-compliant systems.
Familiarity with tools such as Dremio, Visual Studio, Beyond Compare.
Exposure to databases: Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL.
Cloud and metadata tools experience (AWS, Snowflake, Collibra) is a plus.

 

Preferred:
Experience in Mortgage or Housing Finance industry.
Hands-on with Accounting systems and subledger transformations.
Advanced certifications (CBAP, CSPO, PMP, CSM).
Experience with enterprise-scale transformation and UAT leadership.
