SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to oversee and coordinate systems engineering activities, ensure comprehensive integrated C5ISR systems design, and compliance with technical requirements for new ship construction

Qualifications
Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering field and Ten (10) or more years of overall system engineering experience, OR Fourteen (14) years experience can be considered in lieu of degree
Seven (7) years C3ISR, C4ISR, C5ISR, and/or C6ISR shipboard experience

Familiar with shipboard C5ISR Interface Control Documents, Block diagrams, and Functional Interface Drawings
Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies and tools
Experience supporting projects in a Shipyard environment
Must be willing to travel at least once a month to customer location(s)
Strong organizational and project management abilities
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Cyber security, electromagnetic compatibility, and usability principles knowledge
Required Clearance:
Active Secret Clearance
Required Certification:
Cybersecurity Workforce Level II cert i.e. Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP & a Vendor operating system certification: i.e. Microsoft, Cisco, RedHat, or Linux
- Or must be willing to obtain/pass certifications within 180 days of hire

Description
SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to oversee and coordinate systems engineering activities, ensure comprehensive integrated C5ISR systems design, and compliance with technical requirements for new ship construction

Duties:
- Oversee the development of shipboard C5ISR architecture, interface control documents, and systems engineering drawings
- Coordinate efforts between stakeholders, customer, and system engineering teams
- Conduct systems level requirements analysis and traceability
- Manage interface development between combat systems, sensors, communications networks, and related systems
- Support Technical Critical Design Review (TCDR), including reviewing overall system architecture, final network architecture design, cyber security design, and other critical elements of the ship's C5ISR suite
- Communicate all key project plans, and engineering changes including requirements, systems configurations and status schedule, and scope changes
- Works with the multidisciplinary technical team
