Description

SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience to support the Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific (NIWC PAC) Naval Messaging CB ISEA. The work will be conducted ONSITE at the Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific (NIWC PAC) San Diego, CA, Old Town Center. The SAIC Team provides a full range of engineering, technical support, management, training, and logistics services in support of the Messaging programs. Support of these systems includes providing systems engineering, technical support for installations, software development and infrastructure-as-code, training development and delivery, integration and testing of hardware and software functions, and testing of new baselines and/or new capability of messaging systems.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Apply systems engineering principles and processes throughout the system lifecycle including concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system & op. performance analysis, Lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA). Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques to support requirements management, system design, and verification & validation.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and program office representatives to ensure system-level integration and optimization.
  • Manage system interfaces and dependencies.
  • Conduct trade studies and risk assessments.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors Degree and 5 years or more experience providing systems engineering support to a DoD Program of Record.
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance to start.
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
  • Experience developing systems engineering documentation.
  • Experience in requirements management.
  • Experience with MBSE Tools (e.g., Cameo System Modeler, DOORS, etc.)

DESIRED SKILLS:
  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP).

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
