The Virtual Event Producer is responsible for creating and deploying all digital events for in a facility in Columbus OH. Providing a way to simultaneously save money and reach a broader audience; Digital Events are the future for both the Events Industry and Client.


The digital event platform is relatively new, so the ideal candidate will not only be able to execute events under tight deadlines, but will also be able to take the solution to the next level of sophistication.


The Virtual Event Technical Producer will have proven experience in operating a variety of technical equipment within an AV, Broadcast, or Production capacity. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with a passion for all things digital events, have a keen knack for multi-tasking, is collaborative by nature, unshakable composure under pressure, and will be adept at fostering strong relationships across the organization, working closely with a range of internal stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities


Partner with internal clients / Corp. Comm. to design, plan and execute digital events. Including:



  • Consultation and design of systems and components required to operate meeting and accomplish client's objectives. Advise clients on the solution that best fits their needs.

  • Plan the setup, registration, execution, and post-event measurement of a digital event.

  • Communicate effectively to explain our services to mostly non-technical clients.

  • Creates and executes project plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

  • Troubleshooting as needed to satisfy the end user's needs and escalate if necessary.

  • Maintain, setup, operate, and strike event equipment (video switchers/encoders, cameras, lighting, and audio). Manage equipment inventory in dedicated venue locations.

  • Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients.

  • Serve in dual role of Technical Director and Co-Producer to "call the show".

  • Event and technical direction - webcast administration, monitoring, and recording using a production/broadcast switcher to "punch and call."

  • Book & manage technical crew and external vendors during and after productions.

  • Collaborate with colleagues (i.e. IT) on how to best leverage digital event technology within the Conference Centers and at the enterprise level.

  • Keep up with industry trends and immerging technology and continuously improve our processes.

  • Collect and report on key digital event statistics.

  • Leverage tools to measure and report out on key statistics (i.e. adoption, experience, etc.).

  • Aggregate metrics across events to provide benchmarking statistics.

  • Own the technical support lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout support planning and delivery.

  • Contribute to and abide by SOP documents, completing detailed event reporting (After Action Reviews for all events including post-event analysis and statistics).

  • Administer internal video portal.

  • Set up, administer and monitor channels within the internal video portal.

  • Ensure appropriate permissions are applied to secure company confidential content.

  • Onsite responsibility for Conference Center event technical needs.

  • Ensuring all technology is in a constant state of readiness.

  • Provide AV support for Conference Center events.

  • Maintain A/V systems and equipment, partnering with appropriate vendors to ensure all equipment is working.

  • Support Executive level events by providing meeting kick-offs and in room technical support.

  • Monitor assigned video conferencing calls on end user's event sites (as needed).

  • Perform ongoing Q/A tests and updates as necessary and based on customer experience to include, performing software updates, system maintenance and system backups and maintaining accurate inventory of assets.



Minimum Requirements



  • 3 - 5+ years in digital event management and/or technical field (ie. Broadcast television)



Education



  • 4-year degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience is required

  • Experience and high EQ for exposure sensitive or classified information


Critical Skills:



  • Must have working knowledge of Production Video Switchers (TriCaster or equivalent).

  • Proficient with MAC and PC platforms, Adobe Creative software is a plus (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator)

  • Strong understanding and experience with event AV, live event production planning and webcasting/virtual event technology

  • Experience with managing portals (i.e., video portals) or related technology

  • Familiarity with event production technologies/services (i.e., has partnered with audio/visual and production crews)

  • Superior project management skills

  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills in working effectively with external/internal customers

  • Ability to multitask operations/projects, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative. Be proactive with minimal supervision

  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (bridging technical solutions with business objectives for non-technical users)

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Ability to perform well under high pressure (live event) situations. Focused, organized and effective in stressful environments

  • Ability to comfortably interact with executives / presenters
